Border Gateway
The Silvanet Border Gateway is a border portal located on the edge of a forest or wooded area, typically in a forest house or near settlements with electricity and an internet network (not required). The Border Gateway communicates with the Silvanet cloud platform, transmitting messages from forest and woodland fire sensors directly or indirectly through Mesh gateways.
Connectivity throughout the border gateway is provided wirelessly using the integrated LTE radio (4G/LTE-M with fallback 2G/GPRS) or the integrated Ethernet adapter via a wired Internet connection.
For remote areas or where there is no mobile network coverage and network power is not available, the Silvanet Border Gateway has integrated support for satellite uplink using the SWARM satellite network.”
