The Silvanet Forest Fire Detection Sensor is designed to detect forest fires in a few minutes, even during their initial slow-burning phase, significantly reducing the risk of them spreading out of control. It also monitors the microclimate of the forest, measuring temperature, humidity, and atmospheric pressure.
The sensor combines low-power air quality detection with precise gas detection. It detects hydrogen, carbon monoxide, and other gases at parts per million (ppm) levels and has integrated artificial intelligence to reliably detect a fire and avoid false positives.
Our forest and woodland fire sensor, powered by solar energy, uses LoRaWAN for wireless data transmission and can operate maintenance-free for up to 15 years without the need for batteries, avoiding the use of lithium and other toxic and potentially flammable substances.
When it comes to forest fires, time is of the essence. Our forest fire sensors provide ultra-fast detection by sensing carbon monoxide, hydrogen, and other gases emitted during the pyrolysis phase of a forest fire. This provides firefighters with valuable time to react and prevent disastrous fires that can harm the environment, flora, and fauna
